Dominic was, to say the lest, enjoying his new job at the school. Yes it was better then no job at all but it did lack that certain quality that going into the firing line came with. He didn’t like to admit he was drawn to the adrenalin rush of almost getting killed, but it was somewhat true. It was better then fearing the situation anyway.

Hogwarts was pretty much the same as Dominic remembered it, which probably made it easier to find his way while walking down endless corridors. Lacking a place in which to call home unlike most of the Professors, Dominic found himself doing a lot of walking. Each time coming to a room to either find it locked or otherwise occupied by students. It didn’t really matter right now as there was a distinct lack of Death Eaters around to report on, in fact Dominic was beginning to think he had just been sent here to be kept out of the way. But the MoM wasn’t known for lying to those it hires so they must be concerned for the school.

One positive was how much Hogwarts had changed in terms of it’s students. They seemed more relaxed on houses sitting with each other and the grudges seemed to have lessened or at lest not shown as much as they were when Dominic was around. That didn’t mean he had much in common with them, Dominic had forgotten just how long he had been away and that even the seventh years were a good deal younger then him. The Professors were a good deal older, probably more so then their appearance let on, so there was less common ground with them too. Yet Dominic thought they seemed to respect the fact he was an Auror and so had some idea of what he was doing, even if they looked to be annoyed by his presence in some lessons.

Turning a corner Dominic made his way towards the lake in hopes to catch some students that were willing to talk. Keeping his distance would only serve for them to make more sure that any conversation wouldn’t be heard as, if the place was as same as he remembered it to be, the secret of him being and for what, wouldn’t be as secret as the Professors would of hoped.
